Saturday 25th November 2006, Off Roading, Dorking.

(Oliver) This was not only a lot of fun for the home team, but it was also a lesson in a way, teaching us some of the extreme techniques of off-roading. Accompanied by our guide Simon, we went out in an old Daihatsu. Sounds a bit rubbish, but using a vehicle that is worth nothing enables you to really test driving techniques to their limits and beyond.  The off roading was followed by TANK DRIVING!!!! And we (well I more like) found out how muddy it gets when you hit water with the hatch open!

The Tank!! The only thing bigger and meaner than the wolf!!

(Above) The Tank that we drove, as you can see, has a fair bit of mud over it. That was 'before' we let rip. (Below) The Dihatsu which we had driven hard around a hilly area, perfecting the fine art of tearing up a field and scaring everyone in the back of the vehicle.

The falling apart Daihatsu. Apparently £60 he got it for!!

Daniel soon discovers there arent any brakes. Thats why it only cost £60!

The Boys!!!

We considered fitting this engine in the Wolf, but no... just no.

Look at that engine!!! This is the old one that was replaced. I feel we ran in the new one quite nicely.

At least an inch thick of mud all over the floor!

50mph on a small lane...

40+mph on a small lane... Not sure what happens if a car comes the other way!!!

Basic, but functional, the ultimate design ethic.

Its not as complicated as it looks, press the peddle, and off you go, pull some levers and you stop or turn, easy peasy.

"No, I'm afraid that you can't fire the gun."

Full power on the straights and a handbrake turn at the end!!
